[Adv.] Souhegan Wood Products

A crushed roll of product can cost manufacturers and their customers countless hours, dollars, and headaches.

But by simply inserting core plugs into each roll of paper or linerboard, companies can reduce damage and loss claims for just pennies per roll. And unlike other manufacturers, Souhegan warehouses are fully stocked and ready to ship as soon as orders come in.

SWP offers two different types of high-density, molded wood core plugs engineered specifically for the paper industry; the CorSaver plug, designed for fine coated papers, and the Center Hole plug, which is used for all grades of paper. All Souhegan Wood Products core plugs are flake-free and smooth to the touch.

The CorSaver™ plug can withstand three times more pressure than most other center hole plugs on the market; in independent testing, our CorSaver plugs withstood a 10,000 lb crush in a .63″ walled paper tube.

The Center Hole plug features an easy-out design preferred by many end-use customers, an impressive crush strength, and a competitive price, making them an industry favorite.

In addition to standard-sized 3″ and 4″ diameter plugs, SWP engineers can also custom design core plugs to fit non-standard roll dimensions.

Souhegan Wood Products is a family owned and operated business that has been manufacturing industrial compressed wood particle products for over 70 years. Located on the Souhegan River in the small town of Wilton, New Hampshire, their reputation for producing high-quality, durable products has made them the leading authority in every industry they serve.

SWP has been molding core plugs out of recycled waste wood fibers since the 1950s, adding new sizes and designs to meet the industry's needs along the way. Their team of engineers continually develops and tests new products to meet customers' specific requirements and to remain at the forefront of evolving industry trends. Close to the major ports of Boston, New York, and the Canadian Maritimes, their warehouses can ship products quickly and economically to manufacturers and distributors worldwide.
