Domtar Receives Innovative Technology Designation

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Domtar Corporation announced that its Attends Supersorb® Complete Premium Underpad has received Innovative Technology designation from Vizient, Inc. the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country.

Vizient's Innovative Technology designation was based on reviews of Attends Supersorb® Complete Premium Underpad by hospital experts who attended the company's 2016 Innovative Technology Exchange. The event provided medical technology suppliers the opportunity to demonstrate their product and gain direct feedback from 1300 onsite clinical experts and health care providers on the impact their products may have on improving clinical care, safety, or benefits to an organization's care and business model.

The Attends Supersorb® Complete Premium Underpad was developed with Dry-Lock® RapidWick™, a system of innovative layers that work together to quickly pull moisture into the core and wick it away from the skin. This allows patients to feel drier, quicker.

"We are honored to receive this designation and are encouraged that our advanced absorbent core technologies are having a positive impact on people's lives," said Chris Lee, Brand Manager, in Domtar's Personal Care division. "All our products and technologies are developed with the goal of improving the overall health and well-being of patients and providing caregivers the confidence that their patients are dry and comfortable. The Attends Supersorb® Complete Premium Underpad embodies our tagline that 'Attends is First in Confidence.'"

"We are pleased to recognize Domtar's Attends Supersorb® Complete Premium Underpad with an Innovative Technology designation," said Debbie Archer, director of procurement and leader of Vizient's Innovative Technology program. "The designation indicates the product was seen by representatives of Vizient member hospitals who attended our Innovative Technology Exchange as offering incremental benefits over other products currently in the market."
