Please check out the comments in the "What do you think?" department as well.

Jim,

Yes the oil leak sounds pretty simple. Unfortunately there don't seem to be too many engineers volunteering to "properly position" the 146 gpm pump that would take care of the problem. I'll vote for offshore drilling at 5000 foot depths when those engineers prove they can do it consistently and then reposition the pump if/when needed. Until then, increase the gas tax to provide funds for the necessary R&D to gain that capability. And yes, I too owned a motorcycle when I was younger.

Hello Jim.

First off all I would like to thank you for your weekly mail.
I read the most of them (need to be honest) and I find the interesting and with depth, making me evaluating the surrounding and what we take for granted.

The reason I write you (except above words) are to know if there was any rain in accordance with your pump mate?

Best regards

Yes, Jonny, it did rain around midnight and well into the morning. As we say over here, "it rained like cats and dogs" although I have always liked my dad's saying better, "it was a goose drowneder!"

It did cause me some problems, though. When Laura took Fred out for his morning walk in it, Fred decided, as dogs sometimes do, to roll around on his back on something dead. He was a mess, and the solution for that is Fred and I had to take a shower together, our normal mode of getting him showered. That is probably TMI (Too Much Information) but this audience can handle it, I am sure.

Jim
