On Inside Quality

In my column last week, we asked "Is the quality expected for work done for internal consumption lower than that expected for work done for clients at your place of employment?"

The top response was "Never" at 55.6 percent, followed by "Sometimes" and "Rarely," both at 22.2 percent. No one chose "Always" or "Often."

Next, we asked "Do mid-level employees at your place of work do better quality work for those higher in rank than them than they do for those lower in rank than them?"

55.6% percent said "Rarely," 33.3 percent said "Never," and 11.1 percent answered "Sometimes." Again, "Always" and "Often" were not selected.

Finally, we posed "Is there any effort at your place of employment to emphasize the quality of internal work?"

Two thirds responded "Yes," and the rest answered "No."

Take this week's quiz here.

Jim goes over the Quiz results during the Tech Center Show on Pulp & Paper Radio International every Monday.
