Catalyst Paper permanently shuts down machine at Powell River mill

BRITISH COLUMBIA -- Catalyst Paper has permanently shut down Paper Machine No. 9 at the Powell River mill in British Columbia, Canada.
Paper Machine No. 9 has been indefinitely curtailed since December 2014. Catalyst continues to focus on revitalizing the Powell River mill for the future.
Catalyst Paper manufactures diverse printing papers such as coated freesheet, C1S, coated and uncoated groundwood, newsprint, directory, as well as market pulp.
