LEWISTON, Idaho (From the Lewiston Morning Tribune) -- An employee at Clearwater Paper's Lewiston facility was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after suffering chemical burns.

The male employee received chemical burns around 1 p.m. Wednesday in the pulp mill maintenance area of the plant, company spokesman Matt Van Vleet said. The man, whose name was not released, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

The incident is under investigation.
