BENNINGTON, N.H. (From news reports) -- Following the death of longtime chairman and CEO Richard G. Verney on Sept. 10, Monadnock Paper Mills and Monadnock Non-Wovens have announced that former CFO Andrew Manns will return as CEO and operations will continue without interruption under the direction of the board and Manns.

Manns has worked with Monadnock since 1988, first as an outside consultant and investment banker, then as CFO and treasurer from 1995 until his retirement in 2024. He returned to lead the company as CEO at Verney's request.

"Our commitment to customers, employees and partners remains steadfast," Manns said.
"We will honor Richard's legacy by serving our customers reliably, investing in our people and advancing the sustainable innovation that defines Monadnock."

Under Verney's leadership, Monadnock grew into a leader in specialty and sustainable papermaking, launched Monadnock Non-Wovens in 1998 and earned a Platinum EcoVadis Rating in 2024, placing it among the top 1% of companies worldwide for environmental, social and ethical performance.
