Interest in raw materials from family forestry is growing as more and more people see the importance of the forest and opportunities to contribute important solutions to the great challenges of our time. As part of meeting demand, Södra implements price increases on several timber ranges. As of April 15, Södra will raise the price of softwood pulpwood, hardwood pulpwood, fuelwood, timber and small sawn assortments. The price adjustments contribute to the profitability of the forest farm and aim to meet increased demand by stimulating family forestry activities such as thinning, conservation management and regeneration felling. "The shift we are seeing in the timber market, where a historical supply surplus has turned into a structural raw material deficit, means a new situation both for timber businesses and the industry. More and more people want to use the forest and its raw materials for various purposes, which means many opportunities and a competitive advantage for those who manage to use the whole tree wisely in combination with being a driving market player. For over 80 years, Södra has played a significant role in the development of the forest farm in southern Sweden, and we will continue to work for its profitability as our main mission," says Peter Karlsson, business area manager at Södra Skog. The following price adjustments are made and apply from April 15, 2024: Pulp wood
Timber
Firewood
