Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada - June 5, 2025 - AFT has received an order to supply a POM® approach flow system for a corrugated packaging mill located in southern South America. The delivery will support the rebuild of a paper machine and is part of the customer's broader effort to enhance sheet quality and increase paper strength properties for their corrugated board production.
The customer's primary target is to boost Edge Crush Test (ECT) performance on corrugated boxes, with paper basis weights ranging from 130 to 190 gsm.

Technical Scope of Supply
AFT's delivery includes a complete POM® approach flow system anchored by the POMp 715 unit, along with associated engineering. The scope also includes other POM specific items, i.e. a Head Tank, Header, and POMp Feed Tank along with Project Layout Engineering, Installation Supervision and Start-up support.
The POM system was selected for its unique benefits, complete air removal for improved formation and drainage that leads to increased paper strength properties. Additionally, the compact system operates with less water, energy, and chemicals--stabilizing the process and delivering a cleaner end product.
Delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
