The Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box Ibi facility in Spain has started the production of bags with a new and more sustainable thermo-laminated metallised film - M-Compact 77.
The company noted that under the Atlas agreement, it would be required to pay a $20 million termination fee and reimburse any expenses to Atlas if the company terminates the agreement.
