Coastal is a provider of quality plywood, lumber, and treated wood products throughout the eastern U.S. The purchase agreement includes its locations in Havana, Florida, and Chapman, Alabama, which employ approximately 750 people.
West Midlands Fire Service said more than 100 firefighters from across the region around Birmingham had made progress containing the blaze that they were alerted to on Sunday evening. It said there were no reports of any casualties.
Spokesperson Kalem McSween says the Ministry received a report of the injury on June 3, after two workers received non-critical injuries while inspecting a piece of equipment at the mill. The two workers later received medical treatment at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Valmet to lay off 50% of its employees in Russia as part of its plan to leave the country. Company has a total of approximately 140 employees in Russia, working primarily in sales, engineering, maintenance and financial administration. Valmet does not have production in Russia.
