On August 4, 2026, Suzano S.A. announced that Executive Vice President of Pulp Industrial Operations, Engineering and Energy, Aires Galhardo, has resigned effective August 28, 2026. The board expressed deep gratitude for Galhardo's more than 21 years of service and his contributions across several strategic segments of the business.
Following this change, the board approved the appointment of current executive vice president Carlos Aníbal Fernandes de Almeida Júnior to assume the role overseeing Pulp Industrial Operations, Engineering and Energy. Carlos, who has been with Suzano for over 23 years and has previously led the pulp and paper business units and forestry division, will also continue to manage Procurement, Certification Strategy and Futuragene, signaling continuity in strategic and operational leadership for stakeholders.
