The criteria for best is highly subjective. One person's idea of what is best may be very different from another's. Company executives usually think short term. Many of them are happy as long as the company is making money today. The attitude is filtered down the organization. Most people who have high aspirations usually compromise in order to keep their jobs, and in time settle with mediocrity as a way of survival. Consultants self aggrandizement is sometimes not very ethical. I appreciate the opportunity to make these comments in response to your write-up. Much, much more could be said.
I believe we are the best in our field, but we are not staffed appropriately to maintain that position. We focus too much on today's cash flow and not enough on next year.
