If you have not read "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln" by Doris Kearns Goodwin (available in paperback on amazon.com for less than USD 15.00), I strongly recommend it. This gripping tome documents the workings of a management genius of the highest quality. If vacation season is coming up for you, it is worth taking along. 

If you still do not believe the ethanol market is overheating, consider this. It was reported on CNBC's Squawk Box (CNBC is the worldwide business TV channel) on the morning of 30May07 that Mexican farmers are burning their fields of agave (the plant used to make tequila) in order to plant corn for ethanol production. If they think a liter of fuel ethanol raw material is of more value at the agricultural level than a liter of tequila raw material, something is very wrong, or, expect next to hear that the Napa Valley of California is converting from grape production to growing corn.
