Concerning The Green Monster

Hi Jim,

Once again you are on the money. Remember the ‘80’s and early nineties we experienced the same hype and everyone jumped on the green wagon especially where we can make some money. Then after the government (in Canada legislated the pulp and paper mills to clean up at the cost of billions) (great profits made by environmental equipment suppliers and consultants) the green affect dissipated and before we knew it everyone was buying hummers and big 4x4's the bigger the better. Just history repeating itself I guess.

Jim,

I just read your latest thoughts on the "Green Monster". I always look forward to your perspective on issues that confront the pulp and paper industry and the suppliers that provide products and services to the industry. As you might guess, I found your latest comments regarding the "Green Monster" to be extremely interesting, not to mention pretty close to home. I would like to share your perspective on the "Green Monster" with some of my colleagues, because I think it will provide some interesting feedback. However, I would like to make sure you don't have any problems with me forwarding this that would run me afoul of any copyright issues with your newsletter.

Thanks,

Not a problem, Russ.
