The airline industry is on the cusp of a revolution. While the big boys continue to receive much publicity concerning larger and larger planes, the other end of the spectrum is getting mighty interesting. Within the next couple of years, small jets, seating as few as three passengers, will be operating much like an atomospheric taxi service. A large player in engines for these tiny planes is Honda.

A book out just this past April, "The Myth of the Rational Voter: Why Democracies Choose Bad Policies" by Bryan Caplan (amazon.com, $29.95) seems to be a good explanation for exactly what the title suggests. You may want to pick it up for personal pondering. Its reach is far beyond politics.

Ok, this is way off topic, but if you do not live in Great Britain, you may not have heard of the latest singing sensation there--Paul Potts, (the now former, I am sure) cell phone salesperson from Wales.  What does he sing? Opera--the Nessun Dorma.  And, yes, I wept. One does not have to know anything about or like opera (I sure don't) to be touched by this. Click on more below to see his performance.
