What is on our readers minds?

Jim

Thanks for an interesting column as usual. You golf comment is interesting as I hate to get pushed by the course police. On the other hand I don't like getting pushed by the group behind either. So one way we've decided to keep play on pace and more enjoyable is to use these rules:

1. Ball in tall grass? Look for it in one pass and drop a new ball (no penalty in a friendly game).

2. Ball in the woods? Look for it in one pass. Drop a new ball outside the woods and take one stroke (the theoretical stroke you'd take getting out of the woods).

We also don't hit off of the cart path, out of rocky terrain, or from a lie that could cause injury or club damage.

Of course the score card can't be used for any official or even semi-official purposes. But if you are just out for a good time, who cares?

Needless to say I don't use $4 balls. And a good day is one without losing a ball.

Peace

If you saw my golf game, you would see I don't play often. What am I supposed to do about the coffee situation?
