What is on our readers minds?

2 ways to make change using 50 common US coins for $1.00. Exact change is 40 pennies, 2 dimes and 8 nickels. But I prefer 50 Half Dollars - giving 2 in exchange for the dollar bill and keeping the remaining 48 in pocket.

Having spent the past week in Canada and scheduled for a trip to Brazil in October followed by one to (northern) Europe in November your article subject choice this week is exactly the dinner table conversation taking place by folks, like myself and colleagues associated with the P&P industry these days. This was in fact the subject of two dinner conversations (and a couple of breakfasts') this past week.

What grades are/will be growth markets, what grades are not and how well will the markets and manufacturers adjust.

Thanks for sharing your opinion and insight.

Sorry, I've not been thinking globally with regard to trees, pulping, and papermaking. One of the issues that seems to be re-occurring in my mind concerning Africa is repetitive and growing drought zones impacting vast areas of the African continent. Further there is little infrastructure to support a major expansion by P&P. The one upside to P&P operations are they can be pretty much self contained except for the transportation of finished product to ocean egress points.

I'm sure that could cost me a beer the next time we are together to get the low-down from you on this, but I'll try to be a good listener.

Jim,

45 pennies, 2 nickels, 2 dimes and 1 quarter; or 40 pennies, 8 nickels, and 2 dimes.

Does this mean that Crossett, Arkansas isn't going to be the worldwide center of papermaking any more?
