"Paper or Plastic--but not what you think"

Note: Emails are organized in the order received, with first received at the top.

As you can see, they are already doing home loans again with nothing down...

Jim,
I note the sparsity of emails the last couple of weeks. Maybe I can help out. Now I just need something to write about. So I am sitting here trying to think what I could say.

Suddenly I think, maybe Bioresources has something I can mention. And so I check it out and find these

http://tinyurl.com/kpxlus
"Evaluation of old corrugated container and wood fiber application on surface roughness of three-layer particleboard" (this made me think of this as an offshoot of paper being used in Formica)

http://tinyurl.com/mdvn3w "Properties of gas and char from microwave pyrolysis of pine sawdust" (what I saw interesting here is the amount of hydrogen and CO produced by the microwave pyrolysis)

My best,

Thanks, Chuck. I can always count on our faithful readers. They are very interesting articles.

Hi Jim,

Sorry I've been silent for so long.

Your invoice printer concept is ingrained in my thoughts, but your latest article has new approaches. And I enjoyed the Utah energy speech and will probably use it in my environmental science class next fall.

You brought up the topic of music. CD's may be going the way of 8-track with all the younger set carrying around MP3 players the size of your thumbnail.

At the other end of the spectrum, a friend of ours who is really into stereo music just bought an expensive turntable and is starting a vinyl collection. Go figure.

I plan on attending the GCT event in Montgomery so we'll see you there.

Jim,

Thanks for speaking to kick off our track at PaperCon! As we went through our track on "Paper Machine Measurement and Performance" it was an excellent litmus test for us to keep in mind that the measurements truly important are the ones tied to the invoice printer.

I hope your shoulder gets better soon!

Best regards,
