Amcor Flexibles completes acquisition of Chinese packaging company

Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific announced on 1 June 2015, that it has completed its acquisition of Zhongshan Tiancai Packaging Company, expanding Amcor's footprint in China to a total of ten manufacturing plants.

Located in the Guangdong province of Southern China, the acquisition consists of one manufacturing plant specializing in printing and manufacturing multi-layer films for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical end markets. The acquisition also sees approximately 390 skilled talent join Amcor and will bring with them strong packaging expertise to benefit our customers in the South China region and beyond.

Ralf K. Wunderlich, President of Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific says, "The acquisition is testament to our commitment to Amcor's growth in China. As a market leader in flexibles packaging in China, it is also an opportunity for us to further build our innovation expertise and product offering for our customers."
