Metsä Board brings its Lead the Pack strategy into practice at Interpack 2026

At Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf (7-13 May), Metsä Board, a leading European producer of fresh fibre paperboards and part of Metsä Group, will showcase how its Lead the Pack strategy supports customers in developing competitive and future‑ready brand packaging with a focus on food and foodservice, healthcare and retail end uses. Metsä Board will welcome visitors at its stand in Hall 8a / Stand D49.

The packaging industry is facing increasing expectations related to recyclability, material efficiency and reduced reliance on fossil‑based materials, alongside brand owner climate commitments and evolving regulation. Packaging choices are also gaining attention as part of broader value‑chain considerations, including Scope 3 emissions.

Aligned with its recently published Lead the Pack strategy, Metsä Board's focus at Interpack is on helping customers navigate this changing environment through material innovation, collaboration and service‑driven development. The company will present new product and service solutions designed to enable lightweight, material‑efficient packaging options, particularly for food, foodservice, healthcare and retail packaging, alongside its new FastTrack availability service and enhanced design‑to‑market collaboration, supporting customers' practical packaging development needs.

At the stand, Metsä Board will showcase its portfolio of lightweight folding boxboards, white kraftliners, foodservice boards and dispersion barrier boards offering new opportunities for plastic replacement, alongside Muoto®, a novel moulded fibre packaging solution developed by Metsä Spring.

A key element of Metsä Board's Interpack presence will be daily Design for Packaging Impact Workshops, exploring practical approaches to packaging development and the impact of material choices on brand performance, functionality and sustainability considerations.

Metsä Board will also contribute to Circular Economy Day at Interpack. On 11 May, Sustainability Manager Kaisa Munukka will deliver a Spotlight presentation titled "Towards holistic value creation in pharma packaging - interlinking nature and climate at the Circular Economy."

Metsä Board invites Interpack visitors to explore how Lead the Pack is translated into practical support for brand packaging development through lightweight materials, expertise and collaboration in Hall 8a / Stand D49.
