Model Group acquires new industrial site

POLAND -- Model Group acquired industrial site in western Poland, including a production and storage facility with an area of around 20,500 m2. Model is already active in the Polish market with corrugated board plants in both Biłgoraj and Czosnów, the company said.

The Polish market for corrugated board packaging is among the most dynamic in Europe, and has grown by more than 70% in the past 10 years.

The company said the location of the factory in Nowa Sól allows Model Group to establish an additional foothold in the west of Poland, where Model's market share has so far been very small, primarily because it is so far away from the existing Model plants. Furthermore, the regions of Lower Silesia and Greater Poland are among the most attractive for investors in the entire country, in addition to Upper Silesia and Mazovia (Warsaw).

These areas are heavily urbanized with a high standard of technological development, the company said. They are open to international markets, boast excellent transport links to western Europe, and have high education standards. The administrative bodies are also efficient, and promote the region effectively. These were the key factors that convinced the Model Group to invest in this location.
