Veritiv named to Fortune 500 list of largest U.S. companies

ATLANTA, Georgia -- Veritiv Corporation on Monday was named for the first time to the Fortune 500 list of the largest companies based in the U.S. With $8.7 billion in revenue in 2015, Veritiv ranks #323 on the overall list and #10 among Georgia-based companies.

"Being named to the Fortune 500 list is truly an honor, and a widely-accepted measure of prestige in today's global business environment. Veritiv is now among some of the most well-known and respected companies - many of which we do business with every day. With this recognition, we join the ranks of some of our largest peers, suppliers, and customers," said Mary Laschinger, Chairman and CEO of Veritiv.

Veritiv was established in July 2014, following the merger of International Paper Company's xpedx distribution business and Unisource Worldwide. In 2015, the company achieved solid financial results and remained focused on delivering the company's commitments and generating value for shareholders. Last year, Veritiv also reached key integration milestones to improve efficiency and service to customers, including a singular Human Resources platform for employees and information technology improvements that will lead to a common operating system for the company.

"The Metro Atlanta area and the state of Georgia are home to some of the world's most recognized and successful companies. We are thrilled to have Veritiv and its Chairman and CEO Mary Laschinger added to this list of global leaders who call the Atlanta area home," said Hala Moddelmog, president and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "As the first female CEO of a Georgia-based Fortune 500, Mary's leadership and command of business issues are welcomed by all of us who are committed to a growing and thriving Atlanta business community."
