Four suffer smoke inhalation at Resolute paper mill fire

GATINEAU, Quebec (From the OTTAWA CITIZEN) -- Four workers were taken to hospital with severe smoke inhalation after a fire in a paper machine at the Resolute Forest Products facility in Gatineau on Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to the Resolute facility at about 9 p.m. and found the large machine was in flames.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the one machine, but the fire gave off large quantities of smoke.

It was declared under control before 10 p.m.
